Start by talking to these people first

Overview:

Doing the proper research before you start a themed attraction business  is one of the most important steps in your plan. Creating your business plan should be one of the first things that you do. Talking to the right people can get you to your goals faster and helps set expectations for your plan.

Action Tools:

Check your city and county local resources. Most areas have a small business organization that has a sole purpose to help you start a business. It might be under “Economic Development”.
Talk to a Certified Public Accountant. They can help you structure your taxes and help you save money before you set up your business.
Go to local business meet-up groups. They might not know Haunts but many have years of experience in business. Attractions are businesses.
Talk to a Commercial Realtor. One who can aggressively search and go after exactly what type of property you are looking for.
Talk to your local Land Use and Zoning Division. Make sure to have your “Land Use & Zoning Codes” available. You might also need to talk to with “Site Planning”.
And yes…Talk to your local Fire Marshal. Getting a “surprise” visit from the Fire Marshal is something you don’t want.
