Construct & Build

Overview:

Building your haunted attraction can be one of your largest costs. Outdoor haunts usually need less walls & costly materials because they can use the dark woods or cornfields. Indoor attractions may have stricter codes and building requirements. Choose your building methods and materials around your location.

Save Time Tools:

Use the same screw head size throughout the haunt. We recommend Torx screws.
Use a Wall Panel Jig to speed up wall panel construction.
Cut your lumber sizes first before you start building wall panels.
Pay someone to build the panels for you or buy a used haunted house for materials.

Save Money Tools:

Always be looking for cheap materials. Pallets, used lumber, wood siding, etc. Visit contruction sites, warehouses, on the curb.
Estimate price per wall panel. Test a couple wall panels and decide which one you like and determine cost to build.
Ask your construction buddies and family for help. Lifting, building, painting can all be fun to some people.
If you are short-term leasing then you can build offsite. Assemble on-site and give yourself plenty of time to setup and take down.
